buildings i want to live in #2
following up on this post below, here is another nyc building i would love to live in. i don't know if the architecture style is french or english or what but i love it.
it's on riverside drive around 117th street (there are no cross streets between 116th & 119th) which also gives that area a particular uniqueness.

I grew up in 452. It was a great area, with the long block as you noted, but especially with the park across the street and great institutions of cultural significance in the neighborhood. I moved away 30 years ago. At that time, the building was about 80 years old and showing it. They've done a lot of work, inside and out. Given the choice, I would definitely consider moving back, though I'd much prefer to face the park than courtyard as I did back in the day.
hey doug - not sure you'll see this comment but in between this post and now, i went into the building to buy something on craigslist (i was pretty psyched when i realized where i was going). it's owned by columbia now (maybe it was back then as well?). thanks for the comment!
Columbia bought it about halfway through my time there. I know very little about the previous landlord but Columbia seems to have done well in maintenance and small improvements.
